"Excuse me?" I choked out the words and instantly regretted them. Oh my god. Paul just said he loves me. Are my ears clogged, am I imagining things? No way in hell Paul actually said that, did he? Holy crap!
He pushed me back from his body, so he could see my face. Brushing the hair from my eyes, he slowly caressed my cheek. "I mean it Edie, I love you. This has been a crazy ass day, but I have to get the words off my chest."
