Looking pointedly around the interior of the car, she raised an eyebrow.
“Hmm, good point. Maybe we should buy a minivan.”
She burst out laughing. “We had a limo! Did you already forget?”
“Another good point. We should do that again.”
Leaning in, she gave him a quick peck, pulling back before he could get grabby, then did the same with Grant. “Thanks for picking me up, guys, I really appreciate it. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
She jumped out of the car, humming to herself as she made her way inside. She turned and waved before shutting the door. Skipping the elevator, she jogged up the stairs on a burst of happy energy.
There was a note taped to her door, from the building’s management company, so she pulled it free and went inside. She put her things away, put the letter with her laptop
