37 ZEKE “Here,” I repeated, sure I’d misheard, sure I’d imagined him showing up after everything I’d said and done. “As in Massachusetts.” Levi nodded, his bewitching eyes wide and so damn vulnerable I couldn’t not touch him. But I hesitated and looked him over again, watching the pulse jump in his neck, the way his chest heaved for breath. Those fingers clenched around an outstretched, dilapidated box of candy rather than grasping at my back like they’d done when I’d been buried inside his body…loving him. I took the box, rubbing my fingers along his and earning a groin-tightening whimper from his parted lips I wanted to devour.
