I felt light taps on my cheeks as my eyes fluttered open. The bright light harmed my eyes a bit before it got adjusted with my sight. There were familiar voices and I relaxed the instant I heard them.
“Sari! Oh my child…” I was engulfed in a suffocating warm hug.
“Mama… I can-t br-eathe…” my muffled voice caught her attention as she pulled back and searched for any bruises.
