Chapter Sixteen

                                                                            Ambers POV

    I was so excited as today was the day I would get to spend time with my mate!  I couldn’t wait!  My father and Alpha Ray got an itinerary together for the two of us although I wasn’t allowed to see it till Teival got here.  Stupid sexism, since I’m a woman I’m not allowed to plan or see any vacation type plans till the day of so I can’t change anything.  I decided when I become Luna I’m going to change that in our pack because it’s so old fashioned and disrespectful in my opinion.  I quickly made sure I looked amazing.  I wore a dark green blouse with black leggings.  I had my hair up in a pony tail, I wore light red lipstick and a touch of blush to give my cheeks color.  I hurried downstairs as my father called me saying they were here.  

    “Teival!” I shouted.  He looked up at me and smiled.  I felt my heart skip a beat seeing his gorgeous smile.  I felt so lucky having this man.  I ran up to him but then got a little shy as I didn’t know if he wanted me to hug him.  He walked up to me and hugged me.  I felt complete with him.  

    “Hello my dear” he said.  I looked up at him with the biggest smile on my face.  My father called us over and he gave Teival the itinerary.

    “Well it looks like we’re going to a museum today” he said to me.  I was a little confused.  I would not consider a museum to be a romantic place to have a date at.

    “Remember you two are supposed to be getting to know each other” Ivory said to me.  I sighed because she was right.  We wouldn’t be going on a romantic date for quite a while, especially since we haven’t marked each other yet.  I wanted to wait long enough for Willow to be able to escape from here.

    “Shall we get going then?” Teival asked me.  I nodded and we got in to the car and drove to the museum.  I should be happy I get to spend some alone time with him for the first time since meeting him.

    We had been at the museum for a few hours now and I’ll admit it was rather fun and enjoyable.  I was having a blast and Teival seemed to be as well.  Who knew going to a museum could be such a fun and enjoyable experience.  We walked around and played a game where one of us would point out an exhibit and the other would create a story about the people who would live there.  It was funny to see what we could come up with, although we had to try our best to be quiet.  Finally it was time to go home, even though I didn’t want to go yet but Teival reminded me we had two more days to spend together and that cheered me up a bit.  We got home and walked inside.  We ate dinner and then we decided to go on a walk for a few before we had to go to our rooms for the night.  I enjoyed the comfortable silence between us as we held hands.  I felt complete at this moment.  We then went back inside and to our separate bedrooms.

    “I liked today, who knew it would be so much fun” Ivory said.

    “I agree today was absolutely amazing and I’m excited for tomorrow” I replied.  I was exhausted and we went to sleep.

    The next few days went by really quickly.  We went to an aquarium and the zoo.  We both had a good laugh at the zoo while looking at the wolves.  I was so happy and couldn’t wait for us to live together and he seemed to really be enjoying himself too.  Finally it was time to say goodbye even though I really didn’t want to.  We hugged and he said he’d text me when he gets home and he’ll see me in a few months.  When he left I realized I had forgotten about Willow.  I felt like the worst sister ever.  As soon as everyone was asleep I ran up to Willows room to see if she was ok.  She was sitting on the bed and seemed as though she had been waiting for me.

    “Oh my goddess Willow I am so so so so sorry about not seeing you these past few days!” I said.  She signed to me that it was ok and that she understood.  I felt even worse because even though I forgot about her she still forgave me and wasn’t even angry at me.

    “I promise I will make it up to you, you can take a shower and a bath once a week for the next month” I said to her.  She smiled at me and signed that I didn’t have to and she was happy that she could have a nice hot shower once a week and a tiny bit of food here and there and have one less person to worry about hitting her.  After we talked for a little bit I said goodnight and I went to sleep.

    I woke up and my father wanted to speak to me.  I went to his office to see what he needed.  I sat down in the chair on the other side of his desk.

    “Amber my dear, since you will be a Luna in a few years you need to start preparing and learning about your duties.  No daughter of mine is going to be a clueless Luna.  I have decided to sign you up for summer training, and you will have classes after school.  You will have to drop your after school activities too” my father said.  I was stunned and worried about Willow.

    “Is the summer training just a day thing?” I asked my father.  He laughed at my question.

    “No my dear, you will be staying there the whole summer, and you’ll also be there during all of your breaks too” he said.  Now I was really really worried.  What would happen to Willow if I’m not here?  Not to mention that summer vacation starts next week.

    “Don’t worry about getting to see Teival, I’ll make arrangements for you two to have a few days together here and there” he said.  I faked being relieved as if that was what I was worried about.  I was allowed to leave after that.  I had to start gathering more food so I would have a stockpile for her as well.  I went to my room to brainstorm.

    “Will we know how far away it is?” Ivory asked me.

    “No we won’t, they don’t want us escaping and going home.  It’s literally impossible to escape or break into as it is training future Lunas so I mean yeah” I said.  Ivory sighed.

    “I hate that we won’t be here to protect Willow” Ivory said.  I agreed with her.  There unfortunately was only so much that could be done.
