Chapter Three

Chapter Three (Ambers POV)

I woke up in excruciating pain, I looked around and saw I was in the pack hospital. It took me a moment to realize what had happened. No one was in the hospital room with me. I felt both sad and relieved. I didn’t want to be alone but I sure as hell didn’t want those monsters in here with me either. I decided it would be best to fall back asleep since I would need it in order to heal.

I was woken up again by someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw my mother. She was worried but also angry.

“What the hell were you thinking you ungrateful brat!” my mother yelled at me. I was surprised that she called me a brat. Not once as a child had she ever called me a brat before.

“Why couldn’t you just listen to your father and leave the slave alone? If you had then you wouldn’t be in pain right now!” She continued yelling at me. How the hell was this my fault? I was sticking up for my sister and now I was being punished for it? I was angry. I then made up my mind that me and Willow would be leaving as soon as she got her wolf. By then I would be 18 and they couldn’t stop me from leaving. Willow could leave because in our state pack laws allow one to leave a pack without parent consent if one has gained their wolf which most do by age 16 if not sooner.

Eventually my mother left after she slapped me. I was so done with them. I decided that in order for my plan to work I have to stay on their good side. However, I need to talk with Willow about my plan first and make sure she’d be okay with it. Unfortunately I would be stuck in this hospital for another day or so. I did have my phone on me still. No one was here and I was not being watched so I began to format my phone so I could hide things from my parents in plain sight. They like to check my phone every so often to make sure no one is harassing me since I had been bullied once before and didn’t tell them about it.

As soon as I finished formatting my phone I heard the door open so I quickly exited the program and it looked exactly like it did before. I looked up and saw my father, he looked apologetic and remorseful. I on the other hand hated this man with every fiber of my being but had to play it off like I wasn’t.

“My princess I’m sorry I punished you but I needed to teach you a lesson, I don’t want you to end up being banished or killed when you find your future mate” he said which confused me a lot. He noticed I didn’t understand what he was saying so he sat down and began to explain it to me.

“You have to obey your alpha, not doing so is cause enough for punishment varying from being beaten to banished to death. I do not want that to happen to you. I didn’t give you the full sixty whippings and didn’t plan on it. I just wanted you to understand what could happen in your future pack if you disobeyed the alpha” My father said with tears in his eyes. I nodded my head in understanding, however I still hate him very much. After a few moments I decided to ask him something.

“Daddy, would it be okay if I started doing activities and clubs at school so I spend less time around Willow?” he looked pleasantly surprised and nodded his head yes. I smiled knowing he had no idea of my actual intention. He eventually left and I sighed in relief. As soon as I get out of here I’m going to put my plan into action.
