I STILLED because when I entered the house, I didn’t expect to see Garreth only with Sky, watching basketball on the screen. Tahimik sila at tutok na tutok sa pinapanuod. Iyun ang naabutan ko nung makauwi ako sa bahay galing trabaho.
“Fern!” Sky greeted me, but his eyes went back to the screen immediately.
Garreth slowly shifted his eyes to me and didn’t let go of his stare.
“Magpapahinga ka? Bukas pa ang uwi nina Mama at Papa,” he informed me and looked at me again. Pero ang tingin ko ay nasa kay Garreth na nagtatanong kung bakit ito nandito. “We will go out later, tonight! Napaaga lang siya ng dating kaya nanunuod muna kami.” He smiled and I looked at my brother.
“Nasaan ang mga kaibigan mo at wala rito?”
Sky smirked.
“Mamaya pa sila, why? Do you miss Aidan?” Humagalpa
