NADINE The crowd grew thicker as the car maneuvered swiftly towards the major lane. Heavily armed men lined the opposite sides of the asphalt, hovering beside a long fence that had been used to prevent the crowd from moving too close to the car. I could see enthusiastic faces, some blowing kisses towards me and some waving frantically. Everyone wanted to get a glimpse of me. I didn't really understand the core importance of this as I watched it in wonderment. The shouts of "our saviour" rented the air and the trumpets blew even louder like they were announcing the entrance of royalty. I breathed slowly to ease out the overwhelming feeling that had begun to envelop me in the car. I had the immense urge to breathe and the next minute got me standing upright in the car without thinking. L
