My last two brain cells had shut down the moment I hit the bed in my room after Kai dropped me off at the house. The events had happened so soon and I hadn't quite gotten a grasp of everything.
The memories of the intense kisses and all I had allowed Kai to do to me up in the castle were quite visible in my subconscious but it was overridden by the ghoulish scene I caught sight of before Kai locked me in his car. Bodies were mauled at the feet of the castle and several shivers had run down my body when I saw them.
