Mom looked conflicted as if she was not able to decide if she wanted to tell me the truth or not. I couldn't understand why they didn't want to tell me about my identity. Who exactly was I? This was getting out of hands now and I needed to know the truth, Mom and Dad couldn't hide the truth from me forever.
"I can't tell you, Freya," Mom replied after some time.
"Why not?" I asked, astonished.
"I have given my word that I won't disclose your identity to anyone, not even you," She answered.
I want to hit my head on the wall, what the hell was wrong with everyone? Why all this mystery and drama?
"Did Dad tell about me to Xander Cresswell?"
