This is a dream, and I know it by heart. I awake in a different world. I know the pulse of every tree, the lore of every stone, the deepest desires of every creature. This universe lives and breathes alongside me. I’m lucid, and I know I’m dreaming. Because I know I’m alive. knowSolera is pristine and beautiful again. Soft summer grass tickles my bare arms as I lie on a Lenkhari hilltop. Sunlight filters through the emerald boughs of a dwarf-lily tree. The honey-sweet scent of the pink flowers drifts toward me on a gentle breeze. The fact that I’ve lived another day to feel these things, to see and smell and taste and touch, is still overwhelming. And I know there are many more overwhelming things awaiting me when I return to Earth. Hospital bills. Explanations and an apology tour. Psy
