"Are you guys geared up?" I asked the others as I made sure I had all the weapons I needed.
Ashley cleared her throat as she peered at me with an expectant expression. I sighed.
"Are you guys and girls geared up?" I asked, exaggerating the part where I include Ashley as a girl.
"Yeah. We're all ready." Caleb responded as he looked at all the others to make sure they were geared up and ready to get into all the action.
I started to walk away to put on my jacket and passed Mark. He looked at me with a look of both guilt and hopefulness.
