“Yes?” The girl crosses her arms over her chest, creasing the fabric of her uniform. “We need to talk.” What about? When I don’t move from my seat, she tilts her chin, clearly expecting me to follow. “Outside.” I glance at my phone screen. We’ve got barely ten minutes before class starts. Still, I push myself up. “Fine.” Lily leads the way, her shoes clicking softly against the floor. We stop once we’re twenty steps from my classroom.
