Chapter 14
When Jack and David returned home, they found a visitor waiting for them.
"Keith!" shouted Jack, giving the man a bear hug. "David, meet my old friend, Keith Holmby. We first met when Diane and I were in Africa. He's a pilot, takes people big-game huntin'," explained Jack as David and Keith shook hands. "So, • tell me you just got back from the States.”
"I just got back from the States, reported Keith obligingly.
"Did you see Diane?" asked Jack, not bothering to hide his eagerness.
"I did," said Keith, reaching inside his vest pocket, "and she gave me instructions to deliver this to you.”
Jack grabbed an envelope out of Keith's hand and retreated to his favorite chair.
"David, get Keith something to drink, okay?”
