CHAPTER 2

Chapter 2 Alice I took the next few days off work to mentally prepare myself. I still thought it was a bad idea, but my inner Vixen had the final say. She wanted this even more than I could have thought. Lena had me booked by a spa on Thursday, where believe it not, she had me undergo a Brazilian wax, everything was gone down under by the time I was done. It felt odd. After that, she took me shopping. Apparently, Horatio gave her his credit card and direction to an élite shop, which catered for Darkness. I was standing in between two shelves fiddling with the oversized INK shirt I was wearing, while Lena asked about size and preferences. She took a white and baby blue corset of a hanger in my size and showed it to me. The fine pattern of Celtic curves and flowers had me in love until Lena took of a skirt to match. It looked way too small. She got a pair of white pristine gloves and a pair of stockings and shoved all of this in my arms. I blinked at her as she tapped her foot at me. “Don’t act like you don’t know what to do, go and try it on” she shoved me in the direction of the changing rooms and I slowly but hesitant moved into a cubical, closing the curtain behind me. I turned to face the mirror seeing my light brown hair tied in a ponytail and my odd cat-colored eyes staring back at me I turned away and started undressing. I thanked Lena that she chose a corset that clipped open in front but when I saw I had to take off my bra, I got scared. With 38 DD breasts like mine, I was certain this corset wouldn’t close. But as I tried it anyway, I found it practically fitting me like a second skin. I looked down finding how my breasts were pushed up just enough to make that roll that was underneath it disappear. I then pulled of my jeans and pulled on the skirt then stockings and last the gloves. It felt strange being in this. Without warning the curtain opened producing Lena with a pair of black heels. Her mouth fell open as I turned around to look at myself. That couldn’t possibly be me staring back. “Hell yeah” Lena exclaimed. “Hell no! Lena, I look like a hooker” She laughed at me. She shoved the shoes in my hands and stood back. “Uh uh, nope! Hell, you look like a vixen. God just look at what a pair of proper clothing can do to a curvy woman like you.” I let the shoes fall to the ground and I slipped them on. “Proper? You call this proper. Man, I wished I never wrote that stupid novel” I wobbled a bit staying in the booth. There was no way I’m stepping out of here. No way, no how. “You’re taking that. And think of it this way my friend. You get to meet Jekyll” I didn’t think about that, I fantasied about how he would look, even who the person would be. I was mad going along with this. That must freak me out. Right? I closed the curtain and got dressed in my normal clothing. “Leave on those heals. You need the practice.” I looked down at the black heals; maybe it would be nice to actually change my image for once. These heals were very comfortable. As we settled into one of our favorite coffee shops and ordered I asked “How do you know who he is? I mean, what if he’s killer or something” Lena giggled then took out her phone. “I promised Horatio I would only show you this when you asked me that question. Knew you would want to try anything to get out of this. But first just for the fun of it, why not tell me how you described him” I tilted my head to the side then sipped the milkshake in front of me. “He had black hair, the most amazing green eyes, dimples when he smiles and a killer body.” Lena was scrolling through her phone before she handed it to me. I almost dropped it into my glass when saw the muscular build Adonis with the exact description I just gave Lena stare back at me. He was wearing a business suit with a pair of reading glasses in his jacket pocket. I swooned. “You’re playing a trick on me, right?” She shook her head. “That’s him. And believe it or not my friend but he’s actually called Jekyll” I was at a loss for words, can that even be possible? I shook my head, who even said that he would love a woman like me. Lena caught on to the facial expression after I gave her back the phone, then added “He knows what you look like, we can’t just let you sleep together without knowing if you had that spark” I looked back at the phone I placed on the table. “You’re right” I sighed. “I can’t let the fear of this make me run away. I have to heal, and if he knows how I look and still want to go through with this” I gave Lena a look of sorrow. What I wanted was to heal, to feel loved. But having this fall in my lap and having this man want to be intimate with me…How could I say no. I left it at that and Lena and I talked about what I can expect on Saturday.
