55 The room erupted in mayhem. Two hundred separate conversations broke out simultaneously, all at the top of people’s lungs. A few people stood up, shouting towards Dale. He winced against the barrage of noise and attention, trying to wheeze a little air into his paralyzed lungs. Don’t faint now. You’re committed. When they prove you’re wrong, don’t say I didn’t warn you. “QUIET!” The overhead speakers squealed into feedback. Dale clamped his hands over his ears.
