51 The crowd had started flowing into the building, but the motion suddenly stopped while Dale was still on the sidewalk in front of MacDonald Hall. He peered ahead, one hand shading his eyes from the sun. Surge frowned and pulled his phone from his pocket. A couple clicks and he said, “IRC says this is the lunch line. They’ve moved the buffet out into the middle of the room, and they’re asking people to take their meal straight into the lecture hall.” Dale heaved a breath.
