Akara POV;
I wake up feeling a throbbing pain in the head, slowly opening my eyes but struggling to keep them fully open. I started to notice my surroundings and realized I was in the back seat of some car. Laying on my side, I tried to sit up straight only to realize that both my hands and feet had been bound together. I tried to speak but could not make any sentences as I felt duck tape over my mouth.
I turned my head to see there were two men sitting in the front of the car, not one speaking to each other. I turned my head to the left of where I was lying and saw him watching me with those cold eyes of his and smiling.
"I see you are awake." he says, still smiling.
Looking at him, I tried not to show my fear. I tried to speak but momentarily forgot that my mouth was taped.
"Calm down darling, I'll take the tape off if you promise that you will behave" he said in a calm tone.
I'm trying to decide if I should just do as he says or defy him every time. My mind is trying to choose the best course of action to take. After a minute, I decided that I would not cause trouble, not unless I had determined a full-proof escape plan. I gave him a silent nod.
"Alright, I'm going to take it off, don't bite me." he said with a chuckle.
He gently removes tech tape from my mouth and I immediately bombard him with questions.
"Where am I? Who are you? What do you want from me?" I said, not stopping to take a breath.
"Already asking questions, I see...to answer one of your questions my name is Eric" he said, smiling.
"Okay Eric..Where am I? What do you want from me?" I asked him again.
"You are currently in my car" he says plainly.
"Okay but you still haven't told me what you want from me. Why did you take me?" I asked, trying to hide the irritation in my voice.
His gaze turns soft and in a hushed voice he says to me "I want you..."
I am stunned by what he said and still confused. Why did he want me?
"Me? Why me?" I asked, confused.
As I asked him the question, I noticed that it was dark outside, but not your normal nighttime, but pitch black outside the car. You could not see anything outside the car through the window. Before he could answer my question, I asked him another.
"Where are you taking me?" I said with worry evident in my voice.
"We, my dear Akara, are going to Unzexria...which is the realm I live in." he said, grinning at me.
WHAT!!!!! Did he just say another realm?
"Wait....Did I hear you right? Did you just say "your realm"? I asked, my face full of shock.
"Yes" he said plainly.
"Are you insane? I can't go to your realm!" I said, raising my voice at him. I mean what if I couldn't breathe in this realm of his and died, my mind was thinking the worst at that moment.
He looked straight into my eyes and, with a serious tone in his voice, said "Well, you don't have a choice, my dear."
I was shocked by his response. Thinking about my life and how I got here. Will I not always have a choice about what I want to do? Will he force me to do other stuff? My mind was rushing through all the horrible things that could happen to me. Then I remember the question he hadn't answered me.
"Why me?" I whispered to him.
He looked at me with one of his eyebrows raised as if he was baffled by my question. Then he turned and looked towards the endless darkness ahead of us and kept quiet for a few minutes and then said "Soon."
"Soon what?" I asked him.
"You will find out soon" he said, then he snapped his fingers and everything went dark.
My last thoughts running through my mind were, why? Why me? Will I ever see my family again? Is Richard going to be okay? These are the questions that I know I will not get answers to any time soon.
"You will soon find out how special you really are...my beautiful Akara."
....
Though what awaited me in Unzexria would not be what I was expecting at all...
