June, 2011Morgan stood in his stateroom on board the Winston S. Churchill as he packed a thick envelope containing his orders, medical and dental records, and service record into his black leather brief case. He was wearing his service dress blue uniform despite the warm June weather. This was his final day on board this ship, and he was going to depart in the traditional uniform associated with departing a ship for the last time. He did make one concession for the conditions by keeping his uniform jacket hanging over his desk chair and his black tie loosened as he worked.
