Morgan arrived at the flight deck as the last of his team boarded the MH-47s. As the twin-rotor aircraft spun on the deck, Morgan boarded his, placed a communications headset on his head, and strapped into his jump seat. Within seconds of his boarding, the Chock-and-Chainmen removed the aircraft’s restraints and with the raising of the Landing Signalman’s arms, Morgan’s Chinook lifted off the deck followed quickly by its partner.
