Day 1Morgan stood in the closet-sized officer’s stateroom on board the Victorian-era 40-gun, iron clad steam frigate, H.M.S. Warrior. He looked at his reflection in the small mirror sitting on a bookshelf mounted over a small, brightly polished, wooden writing desk. He adjusted the black tie which accompanied his U.S. Navy full dress blue uniform. He drew his hand over his now clean-shaven face, his Van Dyke beard sacrificed, in the short term, for the sake of his dress uniform. He also checked on his prosthetic eye which sat where his left eye used to be. He smirked at his mirror image as he thought back on the past three months…
