The two Mark VI boats moved at maximum speed with all lights off and using only their digital nautical charts for navigation. The pair passed between the Øvre og Nedre Svinholmen nature preserve to port and the village of Andabeløy to starboard before making their turn north towards their target. Several other islands laid in their path, but the boats swerved between them easily, a 45 knot, sea-borne, nighttime slalom course.
