I waited for him to suddenly burst into laughter and tell me he was kidding and our meeting had just been a coincidence, but after a few seconds of charged silence, I knew that no such comfort was coming.
Clutching my churning stomach, I immediately pushed the car door open and scrambled as far from Zaiden as I could get.
"Stay away from me!" I screamed as he climbed out of the car and began to approach me.
