Missing variables

Unknown What the f**k is her problem? Walking around, all high and mighty, who the f**k does she think she is. I get what I want, ALWAYS. Little b***h will find out soon enough what that means. And what, she thinks she can just flaunt about, all those smiles she tosses to all these other guys and hang around with that leech? Stupid b***h. She will learn. It’s okay though, they always learn. My beautiful little flower, I will get her and she will be punished. She must be punished. That is the only way for her to learn. I will teach her and then she will know her place. We will be so good together, and she will behave. She must behave. That’s why I had to let the last one go, for my flower outshines that pitiful weed. The weeds. Always having to move on, find something better. Always finding weeds. But not my flower, I will get her, I will make her mine. Nothing and nobody will get in my way. “Hey” came a voice, distracting me from my thoughts. “What did she do today?”  “Nothing new, went to the same classes and hung out with the same people. Why do you have this obsession with her? What makes her so special?” “She’s the light of my life. I know she is. Stop asking stupid questions and just keep watch Kaden” ~~~ Cleo Before I knew it, the end of the week was in sight again. For the most part, the rest of this week flew by without anymore weird encounters with Kaden. Come to think of it, I really hadn’t seen him at all, not even in the cafeteria. I will say though, lately I’ve been getting the weird feeling that I’m being watched, but every time i turn around to check, there’s nothing out of the ordinary. Despite this, right now I’m not having my finest moment. I pride myself on being a good student, but for whatever reason I just can’t seem to grasp the material in my calculus class. In reality, you would think that I’d be alright at this stage of the game right, because it’s just number at the end of the day? WRONG. Not when the material is being thrown at you the way that Mr. Jenkins does. I really don’t know what’s worse, listening to Mr. Duggar or Mr. Jenkins. Where Mr. Duggar has the most monotone voice, Mr. Jenkins sounds both irritated and annoyed, mixed with a side of judgement for not immediately understanding the material he presents. Well pardon f*****g me for being the student, and heaven forbid you have to do your JOB and actually TEACH the students.  Anyway, I’m currently angrily tossing my books into my locker and exchanging for what I need to take home, fuming over the result from today’s pop quiz.  “Hey now, what’s got you all rattled?” “HOLY s**t” I yell, startled from my angry bubble. “What the f**k Osiris!” I retort, punching him in the arm. “Damn, sorry! I thought you heard me walking up, I didn’t mean to scare you I swear. s**t, you actually hit kinda hard” “Yeah well have you seen the size of Cairo? Girl this small needs to pack a punch” “Fair. Anyway, what’s got you all pissed off?” At his question, I sigh and deflate. “I got a bad score on my calculus quiz” “That’s it?” “That’s it?! Yes ‘that’s it’! This is an advanced class and I quite literally cannot afford to start falling behind already!” I say, completely exasperated. “Okay, okay. Take a breath. Is this advanced calculus with Mr. Jenkins?” “Yeah. Why?” “Cool.. I could help if you want?” At that, I gave him a dead panned look. Since Mondays little ordeal with Kaden, Osiris and I had been getting along that much better. It was refreshing to not have to be the receiving end of any attitude, I was comfortable enough to even now say that he was one of my friends, but to go as far as to think he would offer to help me? This I didn’t see coming. “Uhh, well, honestly? Not to sound like a total b***h, but have you ever taken calculus?” “Hahaha, yes, yes in fact I have. With Mr. Jenkins to be exact” “s**t, really?” “Yes really. Now, would you like some help or not?” He asked again. “Like, as in you would tutor me?” “Yes” “Damn, well yeah. I’ll take all the help I can get. What do I owe you though? This can’t exactly be free” I asked. “Hmmm..” He responded, tapping his finger on his chin, seeming to be thinking hard at an answer. “Well, I have been thinking a lot about your-“ he started to say before being interrupted. “Baby! I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” I could recognize that whiny voice anywhere. Turning to look down the hall, it was none other than good old Amber. Rolling my eyes, I returned my gaze back to Osiris with a raised brow in question. “You were saying?” “On second thought, I change my mind. I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend” He answered in a rush, voice hushed so only I could hear. “You want me to what?!” I whisper-yelled back. “Please! I can’t get her to leave me alone. We are NOT together, she just won’t f**king give up!” He replied, his voice full of desperation and pleading with his eyes. “f**k. You better be a damn good tutor Osiris” I huffed out in agreement. “Thank you” he whispered with a small smile. Before I could process, he gripped my waist with one hand and pulled me close, then gently placed a kiss on my forehead. At this, I gasped lightly at the unexpected gesture, closing my eyes to quickly absorb what was happening. “What the F**K?!” Amber screeched for behind us. “Osiris, what the f**k are you doing with this b***h??” She continued. Without letting me go, Osiris’ voice went completely neutral as he replied “Amber. For the last f**king time, we are not, nor ever were, together. I’ve told you countless times to cut this s**t out” “But, but -“ “But nothing. Now if you don’t mind, we have places to be” He said with finality, never once taking his eyes off me. He then shut my locker, picked up my bag with one hand and grabbed one of mine with the other and made way to the doors to the parking lot. As we walked down the steps, we could hear Amber having a tantrum inside, which Osiris proceeded to ignore. Navigating through the cars, we stopped at a sleek black truck. Pulling keys from his pocket, Osiris pressed the fob to unlock the door then opened it, gesturing for me to get in. Without thought I climbed into the truck and he shut the door for me before rounding the front of the truck and climbing in himself. Once he closed the door, we both looked at each other, a split second later we both burst out laughing. “Holy s**t balls! I can’t believe that just happened!” I finally managed to get out. “You have no idea what its been like with her! I have to constantly dodge her. I thought after setting the record straight last week that she would give up, but either she doesn’t care, thinks I’m joking, or is just straight up delusional” “Well, looks like someone has had some missing variables to their equation” I replied, trying to be smart. “You did not just try to pull off a pun that bad!” He said, followed by another fit of laughter. “I know, it was bad, but I just HAD to. Speaking of variables, we should probably figure out when to get started on this tutoring, as well as lay some ground rules for this ‘fake girlfriend’ thing I’ve just agreed to” Taking in a much needed deep breath and composing himself, he turned to me and replied “Yes, that’s fair. Technically I have practice in 20 minutes, I should be out early, around 4:30. We could meet up after?” “Yeah that works. Here, give me your phone and I’ll send you my address, you can just come to my place and we’ll work there. My parents are at a conference this weekend and I’ll have to have something ready for when Cairo gets home from practice, I might as well cook for all of us. Any requests?” “I could kill for a burger” He said, handing me his phone, I quickly put in my information and texted myself, then sent back my info. “Deal!” “I’ll bring Cairo home, might as well save his ride the gas” “Are you sure?” “Yeah, it’s no problem and the least I can do if you’re going to make me food” he answered. “Awesome, thank you. Okay, I’ll see you later then” I said with a smile and then hopped out of the truck. Waving goodbye, I headed to my car. Getting in, I went to start it up, and as I did my phone went off. Assuming it was Izzy or Cairo, I opened up my messages without even glancing at who it was from. Reading the text, I got a sick feeling in my stomach and dropped my phone. One word with a picture of Osiris holding me in the hall. It looked far more intimate than it felt. Unknown: WHORE
