Actually, it’s not entirely Jack’s fault that he did not inform his mother about his marriage. He had gotten so used to being left on his own device that it never occurred to him that his mother was waiting for news. When his father was still alive, the mother and son were not even living in the same country and didn’t talk often. He’s not used to parental concerns, and so, the cousins couldn’t really fault their big brother for forgetting to inform their aunt about his marriage.
Still, regardless of the amusement when their older cousin got whacked by his mom, they found their big brother a bit pitiful because of his relationship with a very awkward mother who had no idea how to be close to her son.
