Alexandra ended up taking the key from Jack, and she used the car to meet up Kim at the café. It was a midafternoon on a weekday, and so, not a lot of people were out and about. The parking lot of the mall where the Island Café was not crowded at all. Well, at least not as usual.
The mall was high-end, and all the shops sold branded local and imported luxury items. Compared to establishments for common people, this mall had a lower and more niched target market. Only the rich and celebrities frequented the place.
As soon as Alexandra parked, her mobile phone rang, and she answered as she alighted from the vehicle.
“Have you arrived?” Kim asked from the other end, and Alex almost chuckled at her excitement.
“I’m already here,” she answered as she walked towards the mall's entrance.
