When the three arrived at Jack’s apartment, Jack immediately grabbed the medicine bag, and ran up to the unit he shared with his wife without speaking. He looked worried because while Jin and Charles were in the restaurant, he had video called Alex and saw her sickly pale countenance.
For the nth time that day, Jin and Charles exchanged looks, but this time, there was worry in their eyes. They followed Jack quietly to the apartment. The house was dimly lit, and a mellow smell of coffee permeated in the air. The bag of medicine that Jack brought in sat lonely on top of the kitchen counter, but Jack was nowhere in sight.
“Jack?” Jin called out as he and Charles placed their packed dinner on the table.
“I’m here!” Jack called back. Based on his voice, he was probably in the bedroom. “We’re
