“Is this everything?” Jacques’ voice suddenly echoed in her ears disrupting her remembrance, and Alex pouted as she looked at her husband suspiciously.
“W-what?” she asked, totally having no idea what he was talking about.
Jacques gestured towards the medium-sized suitcase and her handbag. “I asked if these bags are all your luggage?”
Alex’s mouth formed an “O” and she nodded. In spite of being a model, she travelled light. She preferred easy transport by having fewer luggage, and whatever she didn’t have she could always buy anyway. It was less hassle that way.
“Let’s go then?” he asked her and she immediately gave the other a nonchalant shrug as she turned away in time to hide the telltale reddening of her cheeks.
