ELARA'S POV The police station was cold and too bright for my state of mind. We had been there for two hours giving statements in separate rooms and I was running out of patience and energy in equal measure. My shoulder had been re-bandaged by a paramedic outside the warehouse but it pulled every time I reached for the water cup sitting on the table. So, I stopped reaching. The officer who had driven me to the warehouse had sat across from me with a notepad. He had asked the same questions three different ways and I had given him the same answers three different ways until we were both tired of each other. "That is everything I know," I said with a tired sigh. "Alexander came to the hospital. He told me about Richard Hale. We went to the warehouse. Lila is in custody. My mother is safe.
