Jolting up the stairs and heading inside I quickly realized I had absolutely no idea where anything in this huge house was. There were two hallways on either side of me as well as a grand spiral staircase that was carved out of wooden logs. I couldn't help but admire the craftsmanship of this place. Stone walls that reached up to the high vaulted ceiling. Hand carved arches over the hallways. There were even little wolves etched into the door frames.
I knew it was only a moment before Xander would be on my heels so I pulled myself from my thoughts and peered around the massive foyer for an escape route.
