IVORY’S POV I practically stomped back to the main building, my brain a chaotic mess of Daniel’s touch and the image of Alicia pinned against that shed. I felt like I was vibrating partly from rage, and partly from that lingering, electric heat where his hands had measured my waist. I arrived at the classroom five minutes late. Of course. The teacher was already on the podium, droning on about some historical treaty, but my eyes went straight to our desk. My heart nearly stopped. Alicia was there. She was sitting in her seat, perfectly composed, not a hair out of place, waving at me with a bright, innocent smile as if she hadn't just been whimpering in the shadows of the equipment shed five minutes ago.
