Hudson woke before the sun, the flat light of near-dawn one of his favorite times of the day. Especially at the beach, where the air was always full of sound and life. He hadn’t slept particularly well on the leather seats of the truck, but he could take a nap later. The camper shell had air conditioning, and he’d find somewhere he could park for an hour or two.
