Chapter 5

Midoriya woke up the next morning and found his head resting on Todoroki's strong, pale, Vampire arm. Midoriya then realised they were both naked, but he was too tired to move, so he stayed on Todoroki's arm. Todoroki then woke up to the sweet smell of Midoriya's hair before his eyes fluttered open and saw Midoriya. "Hello Midoriya, how did you sleep?" Midoriya was taken aback by Todoroki's sudden normal question before replying with "mm... good..." Midoriya rubbed his eyes, looking so adorable as he did so, very child-like. Todoroki had a sweet smile on his face as he watched Midoriya stretch and yawn before eventually rolling off the bed to retrieve his clothes. Midoriya still found this odd. Why was Todoroki acting so different since then...? He's not acting like the person he was when they had met... Midoriya wondered what this meant. Todoroki also got out of bed and redressed himself in his usual gothic vampire attire. Midoriya looked back but hesitated as he opened his mouth to speak. "U.... Um... T-Todoroki... was it...?" Asked Midoriya as his memories were a muffled mess. "Yeah, are you hungry? I'll make you something to eat." He replied. Midoriya was still hesitant and didn't know if he should still trust Todoroki. For the first time he's actually thinking and not being the naive village boy he's known to be. "Um... I... I gotta ask... well, why are you acting like this all of a sudden...?" Todorokkinda confused with Midoriya's question as he asked one of his own. "What do you mean Midoriya?" "I mean...! When you came to me you were all... flirty and... pyscho... now you seem like a normal person...?" Said Midoriya, pouting slightly with his plump bottom lip as he was confused more than Todoroki. "Well... Vampires are people too you know... we're just... also apart of the monster family..." Todoroki said, his voice low and serious. "But this... this 'side' of me is the real me. What you're familiar with is me when my Vampire instincts take control." He clarified. "Oh, so it was your 'Vampire instincts'... I guess that makes more sense. So you really weren't trying to scare me." Midoriya said while looking up at Todoroki due to their height, his eyes full of innocence. Todoroki blushed at the sight of Midoriya looking up at him like the adorable puppy he is. "I'm not sure... I'm not aware of what I feel or think when my Vampire instincts are in control. But last night when we... you know... I snapped out of it right before but still continued. Because as I was slowly starting to regain myself, I felt the need to do that..." Todoroki explained. "U-uh... Oh... umm..MIdoriya to the kitchen. Midoriya looked around at the gothic furniture in Todoroki's Vampire castle before he was seated at an empty dining table. "What do you want to eat Midoriya? I'm gonna feed you a lot because you're insanely thin." Todoroki said bluntly but it sounded like he was trying to snicker. "U-um... I'm feeling weak so... some oatmeal would be nice please..." Midoriya requested with his beautiful manners. Todoroki smiled at Midoriya's innocence and purity before preparing the oatmeal. Midoriya took this time to eye the paintings on the wall, it was of a woman with long white hair and the other one was a muscular man with red hair whose face is crossed off. "Here, I feed you" Todoroki said, coming over with Midoriya's oatmeal. He then spoonfeeds Midoriya but Midoriya's eyes wandered off back to the paintings. When the food was finished, Midoriya finally had the chance to ask. "U-um Todoroki," He called out. "Yes love?" "U-um... th-the paintings on the wall, who are they? That woman is really pretty." Midoriya said, extending his bony arm to point at the painting with his small finger. Todoroki then took his attention to the paintings are his expression went serious. "That women... is my mother..." He said, not looking away from the painting. "O-oh... w-where is she?" Midoriya asked politely. "Shes... somewhere in the woods... hiding... because... She's a vampire..." He explained. "So thats how you're a vampire? Well, is that painting of your dad? Is he a vampire?" Midoriya asked. "That painting... yeah, its my dad. He is not a Vampire... He used to..." Todoroki paused which is when Midoriya realised he started a sensitive topic. Midoriya put his small angelic hand on Todoroki's arm as his eyes filled with kindness and gentleness. Todoroki looked at Midoriya before looking at his hand. "My father... he used to abuse me and my mother..." He said. Midoriya's eyes were already shimmering with empathy as his hand spread warmth through Todoroki's cold, empty, heart. "When we ran away... Me and my mom... He found us and... Killed her..." He continued. "But they let her live only on one condition... She roam the earth as a Vampire..." Todoroki finally faced Midoriya as he said that with a cold, dark, hurting tone. "I couldn't handle being without her... I cut lines on my arm when I was nine... But then... She turned me into a Vampire too so that I could come with her but... If we stayed together to long, he would've found us..." Todoroki explained his dark story as Midoriya's poor heart couldn't handle it. Midoriya had this shocked, empathetic look on this face as Todoroki kissed him on the cheek. "Well, that's all... Now don't cry because of my some 'sad' story I told you." Todoroki said after he kissed Midoriya's cheek again continuously, making Midoriya blush. Midoriya always saw a broken soul in Todoroki's eyes but now that he actually admitted it made Midoriya feel like he's the one Todoroki feels comfortable with which made him... excited...?
