North America, Tribe of the Great Sky.
A year after their engagement, Golden Falcon and Wind Blowing were married.
Invitations were sent to the relatives and friends of the other tribes two weeks before the wedding. Great Eagle, the Shaman and another Native, The One Who Writes, went to the great rock which was sacred to them, taking a blanket, firewood and wet grass. They lit the fire with the wood and waited for the flames to die down until they were almost extinguished, and then stoked them with the wet grass. The One Who Writes suffocated the flames with the blanket and then removed it suddenly, waving around it in different ways, and creating designs.
