"Are we still up for working on our assignment in the library after school today?" Willow asked in English as she sat down next to me.
"Yes. Claire will join us, too, to work on her assignments. Are you still fine with sharing your notes for the classes I'll miss this week?" I inquired.
Willow nodded, and I looked at her skeptically.
"That means you must attend the class and pay attention to the lesson," I reminded her sternly.
"Yes, Mom," Willow laughed. "You won't miss much. Most people don't attend classes on Halloween, and many won't now with a PD day the next day. But for you, I'll be here and focused."
