I was relieved that my Mom had been contained, but it was unnerving seeing her frozen in time like that. I wondered if she was still aware of everything happening around her or if it was like she was on pause or something. I wanted to ask Asmodeus, but I didn't want to interrupt him speaking with Courtney. River had no problem doing it, though.
"Hey, Grandpa. Could you help us figure out what to do about Mom over there? I'm not her biggest fan at the moment, but she is still my mother," River said.
"Hmmm, I'm not fond of being called Grandpa," Asmodeus mused.
"Gramps? No, not that either. Grandfather? Ugh, that makes me sound old. Well, I am ancient, but that doesn't work for me either," Asmodeus muttered.
