Sage's Point of View...
As Phoenix and I entered the basement, the scent of m*******a lingered in the air. I could detect an earthy note with a hint of sweet berries in the atmosphere. I looked at River, Raven, and Joey sprawled across the couches, wearing expressions of contentment with the new Assassin's Creed game paused on the PS3. Joey and Raven were sharing a joint while River lit a new one. Phoenix and I sat down on either side of River as he passed Phoenix the joint after taking a hit. River pulled me onto his lap and wrapped his strong arms around me.
"How are you?" River whispered in my ear and kissed my neck.
"Sore, but good. It was phenomenal running through the forest after I shifted. I feel more connected with Adallina and oddly complete," I responded.
