"Don't go with me! What will Alto say?" Nyx exclaimed.
"Well, Alto said go so I'll go!" Shimermoon told her flippantly. "Come! Or do you want Devlin to catch you?"
"N-no! No, of course not!" Nyx walked to the door. "Anyway, I'll tell him that I will stay in the palace for the time being!"
Shimermoon peered before going out.
"Mother Moon! We are not criminals escaping from prison!" Nyx reproached her.
"Alto can't find Devlin anywhere!"
"What? Where do you think is he?"
"I don't know! Let's go!" Shimermoon had a secret smile on her lips.
"Why are you smiling?" Nyx asked suspiciously.
"Because this is like the old days! When we were playing truant at your mother's class!" Shimermoon laughed as though she was still a child. It was an infectious sound.
