The Truth

Once the kitchen staff had brought me some clothes to pop on, and I had cleaned myself up as much as I could, I returned to Watson ans Dawson in the restaurant.

'Let's just get some food sent over and eat here. We can discuss who you really are here, then decide on what we do next. So let's start with who you really are.'

I sighed, 'OK. I'm Sioux Delacroix, of Goddess Tears pack, daughter of Alpha Francis Delacroix. Everything else about me is the truth. I am 21, this is my company, and I earnt every penny myself. I use a false name because my father does not have good relationships with other packs. He hates everything I do with my company, except the fact I use alot of my profits to help my pack. I am also his only child, and gay, which he only found out 3 days ago. I am an Alpha female, as I am sure you worked out by now. I usually suppress my aura to hide that fact, as many male Alphas hate female Alphas.' I paused. I had never had this frank talk with anyone other than Ryan before, since he was the next Beta. 'I didn't mean to decieve you like that, but when the Rogues attacked, Shadow just took over. She senses something here in the vicinity that has brought out her protective instinct and I don't know whether that's because she needed to help your pack, or if she senses her mate close by. I'm sorry.'

You're Alpha Delacroix's daughter? Honestly we all thought you had died, he hasn't spoken about you in years at Alpha moots. I am sorry you have to hide who you are, but as the next Alpha to a pack, you should not feel ashamed of being you. There is nothing wrong with being a female or gay.' Beta Dawson states.

'Thank you Beta. I would assume we will push this meeting back as you will have a clean up and investigation to do?' I asked. Hoping he would say yes so I could go wash the Rogue smell off.

'It would be ideal if you have the flexibility? I think if we push back to the evening, The Alpha will be available and want to get through this. The security features you showcased will be of particular interest. You are more than welcome to leave your laptop in the office, and if you don't want to drive your car, we can drive you back and pick you up after?' Watson offered.

I agreed to the ride, not wanting to get my car stained, and within minutes I was on my way back to the hotel. I needed a run and a shower after that.

My mind was reeling about the incident with the Rogues. I liked with Shadow. I wanted to know what she was playing at shifting infront of the Beta and Gamma.

'So you want to tell me what that was about?'

'Like you said, there is something in the pack I need to protect.'

'Yes but what Shadow? I need to know what I am looking for here.'

'I dont know yet. But as soon as I know, you will know. I promise Sioux.' And with that she shut down the link and I rolled my eyes.

We rolled up to the hotel and I walked in and headed to my room, stripping off and shifting to go for a run. I ran around the grounds until I felt the adrenaline from the Rogue attack wear off, and I headed inside for a shower. I let the hot water run over me, washing all the gortesue rogue smell off of me, taking my time, using all the wonderfully scented products the hotel provided. Once I finally felt clean, I hopped out of the shower and stuck my head into my bag. Thank Goddess I always pack extra clothes for cases such as this. Pulling out a red pencil skirt and black silk blouse, I redid my makeup and got redressed, pairing my outfit with my Loubitons again. At least with shoes they lasted longer than my clothes usually do.

Once I was ready, I checked the time and called the car to come collect me. I hopped in to the car and headed back to Midnight Sun's Territory. I was brought straight back to the office, and headed back into the building and up to the top floor. As it was 6pm, the office was pretty much empty, and the ever pleasant Jeanne was gone for the day, but Gamma Watson was waiting for me behind the glass door. He smiled when he saw me and let me in, guiding me back to the boardroom.

'You smell much better than you did earlier.' he laughed.

'Yeah so do you! I have to say that was definitely a first for me at a business lunch.'

'It was for us too! I cant say I've ever had an issue this close into the territory. We have had some problems for a while which is why we want to get this underway as quickly as possible. I just want to know what the Rogues are after, and why they are becoming so brazen lately.'

'I am sure you will figure it out.' I state, my mind wandering as I get that wonderful scent i caught earlier. I noticed as we got closer to the boardroom it was stronger, and Shadow had perked up in the back of my mind. I knew the Alpha would be in the boardroom, but who else was there eliciting that wonderful smell?
