⚔️ Part 8: The General’s War
Two enemies had already fallen—Vikram Malhotra, the business tycoon, and Raghunath Prasad, the corrupt minister. But Arjun knew the conspiracy wasn’t complete without the hand of the military. His father’s assassination required precision, discipline, and soldiers who followed orders.
The name surfaced during his investigation: General Virat Chauhan, retired army commander, now head of a powerful private defense corporation.
🔹 The Ghost of War
General Virat was no ordinary man. He had led wars, crushed rebellions, and was celebrated as a hero by the nation. But behind his medals and speeches was the truth—he had supplied the mercenaries who killed Raj.
Old Raghav confirmed it:
“Your father once refused a weapons deal that would have made Virat billions. That night, the General turned against him. If you go after him, be ready. He’s not Vikram or Raghunath—he’s a warrior.”
Arjun’s reply was firm:
“Then I’ll fight him like a warrior.”
🔹 The Fortress
Virat lived on a heavily guarded estate in Rajasthan, built like a military base. Armed guards, watchtowers, drones in the sky—entering it was like entering a warzone.
But Arjun wasn’t afraid. Dressed in tactical gear, armed with silence and fury, he entered the desert at night.
The guards fell one by one—silent arrows, garrote wires, quick strikes. But unlike before, Arjun was spotted. Alarms rang out, floodlights blazed, and the desert echoed with gunfire.
The hunt had begun.
🔹 The Battle
Arjun fought like a shadow, moving between sand dunes, striking fast, vanishing again. But the General was waiting.
From the balcony of his mansion, Virat stepped out, a rifle in his hands, his booming voice echoing:
“Raj’s son! I was wondering when you’d come. Your father died because he was weak. Tonight, you will join him!”
Bullets ripped through the night. Arjun ducked, rolled, returned fire. The desert became a battlefield. Explosions lit up the sky as Virat’s men closed in.
But Arjun wasn’t just fighting for survival—he was fighting for vengeance.
🔹 The Duel
Finally, Arjun stormed the mansion, breaking through the defenses. Inside, the General awaited him—not with guns, but with a blade.
“Face me like a soldier!” Virat roared.
And so, the two clashed. Blade against blade, strike against strike. Virat was stronger, experienced, brutal. But Arjun was faster, driven by rage and purpose.
The fight raged through halls, breaking glass, smashing walls. Blood dripped, sweat poured, but neither yielded.
In the end, Arjun used the same poisoned blade that had killed Raj. With one swift strike, he drove it into Virat’s chest.
The General’s eyes widened in shock. “Raj… cursed me… with his son…”
And he collapsed, the warrior finally defeated.
🔹 The Aftermath
At dawn, the world woke to the news: General Virat Chauhan found dead in his estate. Official reports called it a “training accident.” But the whispers now had a name:
The Ghost of Raj.
Arjun returned home, exhausted but unbroken. Another name was crossed off in Raj’s diary.
He stared at the remaining names, his voice a whisper of fire:
“Three gone. The rest will follow. This is not revenge anymore—it’s war.”
And so, the boy who had once been an orphan was now the most feared hunter in the world.
