The strangers connection to the pack

Beast Sitting in the car felt strange. To say that my wolf was not happy being in such a small, enclosed space would be an understatement. It was a small metal box that was moving, the air inside the car felt suffocating. It was making my wolf feal uneasy as there was no easy way out and the close distance was putting us at a disadvantage, not to mention the fact that we were in the car with a stranger who gave me the creeps. There was only one thought in our head right now, and it was that if we needed to run or get away it would be quite difficult. She kept playing out scenarios and action plans in my head over and over again. It was feeding the already present anxiety and uneasiness even more. The drive was fast, but it confused me so much. Well, not the drive itself. It was quite smooth. But it was he who confused me so much. He was driving with the confidence of a person who has done it for years. He used a little back road that almost no one in the pack knew other than Danielle and me. What was even more confusing was when we passed pack members they all bowed their heads in respect. This would be a normal occurrence for me and Danielle, but they could not see or pick up my scent as the car had reinforced walls, tinted windows and a high-class ventilation system that prevented any of our scents from seeping out... so this meant they were bowing to him. What the hell is going on here? He was not stopped by the patrolling team, even though they had to stop everyone except for Danielle or me. There was no exsection, no one got a free-range pass except for the Alpha family. Who is this man? How the hell did he get this power in the pack? Before I could find the words to ask him anything, we stopped in front of Daniel's house. "Here we go." He said as he killed the engine and got out of the car. I was not sure if I should be surprised that he knew exactly where to deliver me. With every second, he raised more and more questions that made my wolf get even more anxious inside my chest. I could feel her pacing, getting ready to fight. Not a second after he stopped the car, he was opening the doors next to me. To my surprise, he extended his hand and patiently waited for me to accept his hand and I had no other choice than to do it. The man helped me out of the car with the ease and grace of someone who did this frequently. He pulled me out of the car with strong and forceful hands that were still gentle in some way. But one thing was sure, my wolf hated that he was touching us, and she wanted to show her teeth at him. For a few seconds, I stopped and took a breath. Now that we stood face to face, it was easier to read his face and find the right words. "How... how did you know where I live?" My voice was low and not louder than a whisper, but I could see that he heard me and understood each word that he said. "Well, it's simple, every Luna and Alpha have lived in this house ever since the pack was founded." His answer was true, but no one knew that if they were not part of the pack... So was he part of the pack? Then why did I not recognize him then? Why do I not feel the pack bond between us? Feeling even more confused, I straight up asked what I wanted to know. "How do you know who I am?" This time my question sounded a lot stronger... I sounded a lot more sure of myself and maybe a bit harsh on the edges, giving me a bit more of a threatening tone, but the man in front of me was not phased by any of it. He just gave me a smile as if I had asked him in a soft tone with all the proper words and whatnot. "As I said before, I knew your mother. We grew up together, and she was the Luna of this pack. So it is not that difficult to put two and two together, which led me to the conclusion that you became one as well." His words had logic to them, but they still did not explain how the hell he found me out there and how he knew my mother. He was still giving me this uneasy feeling in my stomach and there was still this need to put distance between us. "How… how did you..." I was about to ask what I wanted to know the most, but I did not get to finish as Daniel came rushing from the house. He ran straight to me and pulled me into his arms. His strong arms wrapped around me so tightly that I could not take a full breath, but the warmth that flooded me was undeniable, and it washed away all that had happened... all the dark feelings that had been haunting me for the last few days. I am not sure why, but it still amazes me how much he affects me each time he touches me or hugs me. Without even meaning to, I melted into his arms a bit. I would like to blame it on the shock of his sudden appearance, but if I'm honest, I was just exhausted from everything that had happened and his arms gave me the shelter I craved so much for. "Erin... I was so worried..." He whispered into my hair before pulling back a bit and laying a soft kiss on my forehead. "Please... do not leave like that again... I was so worried that something had happened..." He whispered as he pressed his forehead into mine and the warmth, care and love from his words flooded me. "Sorry..." That was all I managed to whisper. My words were nothing more than a whisper. Danielle pulled back a bit to look at my face with a gentle smile, but that smile was short-lived as his eyes moved down my body and he concentrated on my clothing. The realization that he saw me and the warm feelings were replaced with guilt... I was not sure how I could tell him the truth... how could I explain that I killed again. "What... What happened? Why are you covered in blood? Erin... did you... please tell me you didn't..." The disappointment in his voice hit my chest like a million daggers, tearing my chest to shreds. "She tried to help a hurt wolf, I found her trying to stop his bleeding." The older man answered the question meant for me and deep inside I was thankful, because either he did not see the whole thing or he was lying to cover up for me... But either way, I did not get the chance to deny his words... not that I would have tried to deny his words. Danielle's face turned sour as he looked up at the older man. "What are you doing here?" His voice was nothing more than a growl... I had never seen Danielle act like this. He was growling, and I am sure I could see him flashing his teeth at the older man in the most threatening way/ "It's nice to see you as well, Alpha." The title Alpha came out with so much venom in his voice that I was actually surprised. There was something here that I am not catching on to... "What are you doing here? I am sure that I made it clear the last time that you are not welcome in this pack." "Ahh, but I am not here for pack business but to see my niece. Are you going to stop her from meeting the only family she has?"
