Zoe’s head was actually spinning a little bit, and it occurred to her that she was way out of practice at drinking the hard stuff. Throw in some serious sleep-deprivation, exhaustion from her long drive, and the fact that she hadn’t eaten much over the past few days, and you were left with a slight buzz from one hit of damn-near pure alcohol.
