LEONARDO Every time I stopped to think, I had to distract myself again. Emilio had clearly upset Medi. One of his famous 'talks' I was sure. But he did not own her. She had no reason to be loyal to him. Yet, he had made her cry. Walking beside her to the kitchen, I remembered her tear-soaked face when I had first seen her in the library. I found my jaw clenching at the thought of her so upset. I wondered how bad it was. Would she find somewhere else to stay now? I began frowning again. She likely had no boyfriend, Emilio was not the type to willingly share, but she would probably have friends she could stay with. It would be less safe than here, though. What would she need protecting from? If she decided to stay somewhere else, I could always look into the person or people she was stay
