Chapter five

Kira and Lucas sat on the couch cuddling. She thought about telling him. Consequently, there was a call on Lucas' phone.

He didn't want to pick it up, because he wanted to spend time with his baby. He refused to pick up,and the phone rang again. He refused to pick it but Kira told him to" it might be urgent". She said.

Lucas picked up the call and it was a call from one of his managers. Almost all of his shareholders were there in the company and they needed his presence for the impromptu meeting.

No one told him about the meeting. He felt pissed off and wanted to cancel it, because of how urgent the meeting could be and they didn't inform him, "you need to go though, when you come back. There we will spend quality time together,there will be no distractions." Kira told him. Here she comes again.

To Lucas,that was disrespectful and rude to his personality. He stood up from the seat and went upstairs to change again. It was a stressful part of putting on the clothes he had just removed.

Soon,he arrived at the place. He went into the meeting. After an hour, they were done with what they had to discuss .

Lucas sat down to check some stuff when they all left. The office was quite the only sound that came from the flips through the pages of the document he was holding.

The intercom on his desk buzzed to life. He pressed the button. "Yes?"

"Mr. Lucas, there's a visitor here to see you. She insists on seeing you personally," his secretary's voice came through the speaker.

Lucas frowned slightly. He hadn't scheduled any appointments for the day. "Did she mention her name?"

"Yes, she said her name was Flossy," the secretary replied.

"Flossy?" The name sounded familiar, but he couldn't quite place it. He pressed the intercom button again. "Send her in."

A few moments later, the office door swung open, and Flossy walked in. She entered, looking around the spacious office.

She wore an elegant black dress that accentuated her figure and exuded a sense of poise.

"Mr. Lucas, I presume?" Flossy said with a smile, her voice tinged with a hint of playfulness.

Lucas stood up from his desk, a polite smile on his face as he extended his hand. "Yes, that's me. And you must be Flossy. Please, have a seat.What brings you here?"

"Why would she come to my office? What does she want?" He thought.

Flossy shook his hand firmly and took a seat across from his desk. She looked around again, seemingly taking in the prestigious surroundings. "Impressive office you have here."

"Thank you," Lucas replied, taking his seat. "Now, how can I help you, Flossy?"

Flossy leaned back in the chair, crossing her legs elegantly. "I must admit, I'm here on a whim. You see, I couldn't resist the urge to drop by and see the man who has captured my friend's heart."

Lucas arched an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "Your friend?"

Flossy grinned mischievously. "Oh, you know her well. Kira, your girlfriend."

Lucas's expression changed from curiosity to realization. "Ah, Kira. Of course. You're her friend."

Flossy nodded, her grin widening. "That's right. And I couldn't help but wonder what kind of man had managed to win over her heart. So, here I am."

Lucas chuckled, amused by Flossy's straightforwardness. "Well, I'm honored that you wanted to meet me in person."

Flossy leaned forward slightly, her tone turning serious. "Listen, Lucas, I care about Kira deeply. She means the world to me. I just want to make sure that she's in good hands."

Lucas appreciated Flossy's protective nature towards her friend. "I understand your concern. I care about Kira a lot too. I want her to be happy."

Flossy nodded approvingly. "Good to hear it. But remember, I've got my eyes on you."

Lucas chuckled again, his tension easing. "Noted. I promise I have good intentions."

Flossy finally leaned back in her chair, her smile returning. "I believe you. Just know that if you hurt her in any way, I won't hesitate to unleash my wrath."

Lucas laughed genuinely at Flossy's playfully threatening words. "I'll keep that in mind."

Immediately, the door burst open. That was no other person than Kira. It came as a shock to them. Flossy's face looked shocked. She hadn't expected Kira to come, same with Lucas.

It was not a bad thing for Kira to be there, besides, Lucas was more happy than shocked to see her, as he wondered what brought her to his office.

Kira's face was filled with shock too. What was Flossy doing there with my man?" What business does she have?" Anger and jealousy burned within her.

"And they were laughing too when I came in. What was funny? All those thoughts played in her head.

"Did he pretend to have an office appointment with his shareholders? Was it Flossy who called him? Besides, there is no business dealing she could have." She said to herself.

"Hey babe, what's up.." Lucas stood up to go give her a hug while Flossy was just sad there, speechless to talk."

"I am okay Lucas", She replied."Did she just call my real name? I guess she might be angry or jealous to see her friend here." He said to himself. He was quick to read her mind.

"Ain't you gonna say something to me Flossy, what's up?" She asked, rolling her eyes.

"I am okay, though. I just wanted to stop over.." she said." To do what?" A voice in Flossy's head asked.

"Well, it's okay,I will be leaving now though. I was about to leave."She grabbed her purse and bade Kira goodbye. She knew she felt suspicious and her sudden urge to leave.

"Oh, she wants to leave now? Oh hell c'mon" Kira said in her head but still kept a poker face.

Flossy closed the door and it was Kira and Lucas alone in the office." It's time for an explanation, Lucas". She told him, looking him dead in the eyes.
