I stopped what I was doing and looked at her. "Listen, Gwen. I need you to not tell Fanny about this. Not a word. It’s better if she never knows. If she finds out, we’re both in a massive amount of trouble. Especially you. She will literally kill you."
Gwen paused, hooking her bra and looking at me over her shoulder. "Okay. And what if I go against what you said and tell your girlfriend anyway?"
I felt a flash of genuine fear for her. I stepped closer, my expression darkening. "Then you’ll be signing your own death warrant. It’ll be your funeral, not mine. You can’t go up against her. She’s a wolf, Gwen. And you’re just... human."
"I see," she said, her voice turning cold. "The insults never really stop, do they? Fine, it’s alright." She finished
