  The night air hit cold. Sharp.   Sienna stood outside the ballroom. Glass doors closed behind her. Muffling the noise. The music. The chaos.   Out here, just streetlights. City sounds. And her breathing too fast.   Her hands shook. Not from cold. From everything.   "Landon Callahan. CEO of Black Global."   She said it out loud. Like saying it would make it real. Make sense.   It didn't.   City lights blurred. Tears. She blinked hard. Tried to stop them.   Failed.   The door opened behind her. Quiet. Careful.   Footsteps on wet pavement.   She knew those footsteps. Would know them anywhere.   "Don't." Her voice cracked. Raw. "Don't come near me."   But he didn't leave. Just stood there. A few feet away.   She turned.   Landon. Tuxedo jacket damp from rain starting to fall.
