Malachi’s POV Tobias spoke with more patience than I would have given. I leaned back on my throne and rested my chin against my fist as I watched the fool in front of me. Alpha Edmund. That loud and puffed-up and painfully stupid man. His pack had fallen to me about six months ago and yet here he sat, chest high like a man with something left to offer me. Why was he here anyway? “The meeting will begin when Alpha Malachi decides,” Tobias my beta announced. “If you would please sit down...” “Save it, mutt! I’m not here to listen to a beta yap.” Edmund adjusted the cuffs of his coat and lifted his chin. “We are Alphas. We answer to no one but the strongest.” He turned his head toward me. “And I think we all know who that is.” The other four Alphas stood in a loose semicircle behind him.
