Once she thought she was presentable, Anna left the cottage and walked towards the pack house, which is not far from her place. Strangely, she hasn't thought about her ex-mate and his rejection since she entered the Red Moon pack.
When she entered the pack house, everyone was already in the dining hall.
Monica was standing near Alpha Ryan, and she waved at Anna to come to them, but her heart was beating wildly at the way Alpha Ryan is staring at her and the way she can feel his stare on every inch of her body.
She doesn't know what is wrong with her, but Alpha Ryan is affecting her so much that she is attracted to him despite knowing the truth that he will never be attracted to her because she is a mere omega.
"Hello!" She greeted everyone on the table and took her place beside Monica, and she can still feel Alpha Ryan's stare on her.
"Sir! Why don't we start dinner? I'm starving!" A male voice sounded beside her, making her turn towards the voice, and to her surprise, the male was as stunning as a female.
"Sure! But first, let me introduce our new pack member, Anna, who is going to stay with us for a while. I hope you will welcome her." Alpha Ryan's voice boomed throughout the dining hall, and everyone cheered once he stopped talking, welcoming Anna to their pack, which made her emotional and happy at their acceptance.
"Welcome to the Red Moon Pack. Anna, I am Mike Beta of the pack. You will be the new maid for the pack house, better behave well." Anna stiffened at his words, and she could feel Rosy growling in her head, confusing her, and the way she was clenching her fists to not punch Mike.
"T…thank you!" Anna could feel Alpha Ryan's eyes on her throughout the dinner, but she doesn't acknowledge him as she is still confused at her anger and her instant dislike for Mike.
She really didn't know what was wrong with her, and she hoped she felt better once she took a nap.
Once they finished the dinner, Monica started walking towards the exit and Anna started clearing the table but Mike stopped Anna by holding her hands.
“You must have some guts, why do you keep staring at the Alpha? Don't you have respect?” Beta Mike glared at her.
“Ummm.. I'm sorry, I had no idea that I was staring.”
“You better be warned.” He snapped back.
For the first time since her arrival, Anna felt some kind of threat which made her realize that she is just an Omega.
Few weeks after Anna relocated, she heard news that Beta Rustin was getting married to Alora. Rosy became restless and started self harming.
“Rosy! You are hurting me,” Anna blurted out but it continued. Just when Alroa was about to say another word, she heard footsteps approaching.
“The Alpha needs to see you now.” The blond haired woman announced to her.
Immediately, Rosy became calm. Anna hurriedly rushed over to the Alpha's house and on getting there, he was already seated and waiting for her.
“You seem hardworking and for the past few weeks that you stayed in my pack, I have been observing you and you seem hard working. I would like to appoint you as my personal maid, you will be in charge of my upkeep and you have to do a better job.” The Alpha informed her.
Just then, when Anna was about to reply and show how happy she was for the opportunity, Beta Mike stormed in.
“No Alpha, this worthless thing does not have the capability of taking over as your personal maid.” Beta Mike griped.
Anna was stunned and speechless, she also noticed that the Alpha did not utter any word, like the Beta has some sort of power over him.
“You deserve to be killed, traitor.” He blurted out.
