I looked at her and I knew she was sure that they were mates.
“What? You don’t believe me?” she asked me, and I just shrugged.
She could tell me that the Earth is flat, and I would believe her without a doubt.
She is clever, thinks things through, and wouldn’t just say this without being certain.
But this morning, I trusted her with my phone, and it was only on my way home that I realized how it looked.
Honestly, I didn’t care, but I also don’t want to scare her off or anything.
Hunters seem to have a thing with secrets, and I openly showing her this much trust might scare her.
