I woke up early, as did the rest of the elite ready for the last leg of our journey that would get us to Nashva’s castle and my fiancé.  It hadn’t even been two weeks since the terms of the alliance had been finalised and yet I’m already a day away from meeting the person I’m being forced to spend the rest of my life with.  I travelled with my brother Rhys, who is also the second in command of the elite. The elite is made up of seven men including my brother and myself. All of us have known each other for years and are all good friends. We are the best fighters in Petraes and the strongest with our type of magic. None of us are full-blooded fae but are all demi fae. Me, as the leader am the most powerful in terms of magic; I can control three elements fire, water and air. I can’t however control earth, the hardest of all the elements. I’m can also create powerful illusions and have enhanced speed, strength, healing, hearing, sense of smell and sight. This helped over the years with fighting and gaining needed information. I always use illusions hen I want to go unnoticed as unlike my brother this dark blue eyes a as black as night hair, I was graced with bright vibrant blue eyes and silvery white hair. Other than the hair and different shade of blue eyes my brother and me have the same facial features and similar builds. I’m about an inch taller and he isn’t as muscular as me. I good with most weapons and prefer the sword; my brother also favours the sword but has more grace with it than me. Rhys is also not as powerful as me in the magic department. He can control both water and fire and can weave average level illusions. He also has enhanced senses like myself.   

The rest of the men are all demi fae as well. There are the brothers Otto and Ashton who both control fire and have the auburn hair to match. There are year apart in age and look eerily alike except Otto has green eyes and Ashton has brown. The youngest Ashton is a little leaner and favours the sword whereas Otto is more muscular and prefers the mace or the axe. Kai the eldest of my men at twenty-two years old also prefers the axe to any of the other weapons he knows how to use. He is the biggest of us all and has sandy blond hair with hazel coloured eyes. He is also good at illusions and is the only other person except myself who has control over air. Rian with his chocolate brown hair and light green eyes is the best and has a perfect shot with the crossbow. He’s a year older than me but you would never know as he still acts as he did when we were teens. He and our healer Flynn can also control water. Flynn is the youngest at eighteen and favours the bow and arrow to any other weapon. He has light brown hair and unique mixture of blue-grey eyes. I’ve known all of them this I was young and we have all been training together since I was around nine years old. By the time I was fourteen I had already beaten all of them and many others when it came to magic. With weaponry it depends what weapon with what person to that is the best so we chose our ranks based on magic. We make a perfect team but we would benefit from another member who could control earth as none of us have any skill in that department.
